1.      Minutes from the February 16, 2013 meeting were read.  A motion was made by Jim Platko and seconded by G. Ed King to accept the minutes as read, and passed
by council and membership.

2.      The treasurers’ report was presented for the month of January by Treasurer, Brenda Mikesell.  A motion was made by Mike Wisniewski, and seconded by Barb
Hatfield to accept the report as written.  Passed by council  and membership.

3.      Dan Kenny advised that the family of Duane Willett has been contacted.  They may be willing to contribute some of Duane's dog tag machine parts to the Saginaw
Valley Air Museum once they complete doing an estate inventory.

4.      An updated membership form was presented by Barb Hatfield.  It reflects that a single membership will be $40; a couple can become members for $60 per year;
and a family membership is $80 yearly.  The family membership is described as:  A parent and/or (a husband and/wife), and children under the age of 18 years.  The
junior membership is $20 yearly.

This change in membership necessitated a by-law change.  Therefore Dale Mikesell made a motion to make the following changes in our by-laws:

•         The Saginaw Valley Air Museum will now have four membership levels: Individual, individual and spouse, family, and a junior membership.
•         Newly elected officers will start their term of office on January 1st of the following year after the election of any given post.
•         Change in Article VII, conduct of Business was discussed and explained to all present at the meeting.

The motion was seconded by Mike Wisniewski, and passed by the council and membership.

5.        Denise Turner met with Dan Kenny and other members.  She presented a copy of her book that she wrote about her father.  She also donated the copy of the
book, and her father's uniform to the Saginaw Valley Air Museum.

6.        The Heritage High School Auction remains scheduled for this month (February 22).  We will provide them with a photo of the L-2, so that those bidding on our
donated prize can see a picture of the plane they will be bidding to ride in.

7.        Birch Run Gun and Knife Show is scheduled in March, and will require three (3) volunteers each day of the event.

8.        Dan Kenny attended the annual meeting for the Castle Museum.  He encouraged the board to allow us to set up a permanent display in the museum.  At this time,
however, space remains limited and a permanent display for our organization is not available.

9.        Barb Hatfield presented a Thunder Over Michigan signup sheet and schedule so that members could commit to a specific block of time to work the dog tag
machine at the event.  Slots of four hours each are available for members to sign.

10.        The man in Flint, Michigan who has an Address-O-Graph available for purchase has set a $200 price.  The machine  is not in working order, so no more will be
done concerning this machine.

11.        Dog tags and silencer supplies will be ordered for the upcoming summer season.  Barb Hatfield indicated that there is a new glow-in-the-dark silencer available
that would be a good seller.  We decided that these will be ordered along with several other newer colors.  Several other silencers that have not sold well will be
discontinued.  It was decided that 5,000 new dog tags will be ordered to cover our needs for this year.  The price of the individual dog tags decreases with the amount
ordered.

New Business

1.        The new airport terminal here at Harry Browne Airport is almost ready to move into.  The cost of the terminal and the monies provided by Saginaw County do not
include new furniture or a number of other necessary supplies and items needed to complete the move.

Tom Manial made a motion to donate $500 toward the purchase of new furniture needed for the new terminal.  The furniture will be selected and purchased by the
airport manager.  Saginaw Valley Air Museum will then pay directly on that purchase at the store.  No check will be issued to the county for this purchase.  In addition to
the $500 donation, if any members want to donate additional funds toward the furniture, the donation will be specifically designated for new furniture for the terminal.
The motion was seconded by Barb Hatfield and passed by council and members.

2.        Dan Kenny suggested that we prepare a brochure indicating what our museum will encompass when it is finally opened in the future.  No final conclusion was
made regarding the brochure, and we will discuss this more in future meetings.

3.        There was some discussion concerning where the SVAM will actually be housed once the new terminal is open.  The existing hangar where we currently meet is
in dire need of repair, including a new roof, and possible electrical and other remodeling issues.  Our existing treasury balance may not be substantial enough at this
time to accommodate the expenses that this hanger may need.  In addition, the monthly utility bills for the hangar may be substantial.  There was some discussion
concerning obtaining a grant for the continued operation and maintenance, as well as remodeling, however, further information will  need to be obtained.

4.        There are a number of upcoming Gun and Knife Shows in which we may be able to participate.   Scheduled dates are:  May 4th and 5th;  August 3rd and 4th;  and
September 21st and 22nd.

5.        Bill Wiggins has paid the L-2 insurance for the upcoming year, insuring three (3) pilots that will be flying the plane. Bill submitted the amount he paid for the
insurance for reimbursement.

Meeting adjourned @ 10:30 AM.   Next meeting Saturday,  April 20, 2013.
